The Fairy Hunt has begun!!

Just a few days ago we discovered a fairy door and lantern in a tree in our garden. C is beside herself with delight!!
Last night she left it a dollar! But in the morning it was still there. She is assuming it is not a toothfairy. ;) Can't wait to see the adventures the fairy will bring this summer!

C looses first tooth!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It finally happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After a year of waiting, somewhat patiently, C finally lost her tooth on the last day of Kindergarten!!! She bit into a blowpop and really knocked it loose (ouch) it hurt like the dickens, for a day, but the morning of her last day of school, it fell out as she walked down the stairs to breakfast! In her class this year each child that lost a tooth was able to sign a tooth poster, and most of her class already had. It was killing her! So on the very last morning, she got her wish and put her little name on that poster.

Milestone accomplished!! Yeah Sis!

The 11/12 Cubs are National League and World Series Champs!!!

This week has been an amazing climax to a long, yet fun, baseball season.

N's team, the Cubs, won the National League title on the 28th and last night, the 30th,

they won it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've never seen such happy young men in my life. N couldn't stop smiling!! :)
The last post was of C's spring recital.
She has been taking ballet and jazz all year, and this is the end of year performance. She loved everything from the crazy costume to performing on stage.
Now if only we could get her to smile while she dances!! ;)

"Girls Just Want to Have Fun"

C is in the front center of this picture.

Waiting Back stage to go on!
These poses were all her own idea. ;)

C got to go on her first field trip this past week.

She went to a place called the Oil Ranch. There were so many things to do. A train ride, a petting zoo, and indian village to explore, milking a cow and best of all, she finally got to ride a full size horse named Big Red. Lots of fun and a beautiful day too!

C Turns the Big 6!

C turned 6 on the 27th. She officailly has to use 2 hands to tell people how old she is. :(

She had a wonderful day filled with fun at Pump It Up with lots of friends in attendance.

Happy Birthday Cissy Belle!

Spring Break in Texas

This March we decided to stay closer to home for spring break. We thought that Austin would be a good place to go to seeing as it is our state capitol and all.

N and C were not sure not being at the beach would be much of a spring break, but went along with it. As it turned out, it was one of our best vacations!

Our first day was a bit cold and rainy so we went to see the state capitol. It was so interesting to see it in person.

N got to attend a baseball camp at UT for the first 3 mornings and the afternoons were spent swimming, throwing football, playing soccer, riding horses and ponies. Every evening there was a tremendous buffet with s'mores afterwards around the firepits. There were also movies on the lawn at dusk. All this was set along the Mighty Colorado River. If you ever get a chance to go to Austin, you have to check out the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort! We loved it!

C's Kindergarten Go Texan Day at school

Here are a few shots of C's day at her Go Texan Day. (they start them early with the texas proud stuff :p )
I had to include the first photo due to the moment behind it. C got a group of her classmates to come into the picture and then proceded to say, "ok I've got an idea...you stand here, you stand here, etc. I couldn't believe my ears. The mom next to me was impressed, I was just thinking, "the apple didn't fall far from the tree" :)
The other picture is of her class doing a Texas tornado dance that they had been learing. Very cute.

C also had her first school project to do for the day. Each child was to make their own stick pony. Once again C was able to use her direction skills and tell mom where to put everything. Not really, she did stuff and apply most of the decoration to it herself.
**School Projects...the opportunity for parents to make up for their own school projects that their parents did for them!!! And the cycle continues.

Just after the holidays C was invited to an ice skating birthday party by a friend of hers. She has gone before but never in "big kid" skates. She did an amazing job. She was very proud of herself. N came along for moral support and so Mom did not have to go out on the ice:) He was a great help as usual.

A Christmas Rewind

Here are a few shots of our Christmas in TX.
N got C a stuffed bear and also some $ for his gift to her. Precious! As you can tell, she loves them.
N is an avid TX fan so we got him a jacket to tell everyone else who he supports.
Dad and the kids had a chance to play Rock Band during a special Christmas Eve event at our church. Turns out we'll be able to play it at home too. G-Mary and Pop-Pop got it for N.

Here they are Christmas morning. Ready to dive into the gifts. Poor Rudy is stuck in the middle hoping for some treats after induring this photo op.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your friends and family. May the new year bring you all many blessings.
